As part of their approved 2004 bond, Golder Ranch Fire District decided to design and construct a new Fire Station located on the northwest corner of Lambert and La Canada. This new station is approximately 7,202 SF and consists of three apparatus bays, six dorm rooms, a kitchen/dining room/day room, an exercise room, and an office. The building’s front exterior wall is decorated with public art in the form of a ceramic mural.
This fire station required a unique design to fit the particularly hilly project site. Additionally, the adjacent homeowners required particular building height, lighting, and color restrictions to be incorporated. The facility is a combination of masonry and metal stud/EIFS construction.
